Nærobservation er blevet lokalhistorie
Langt de fleste ufointeresserede har hørt om politibetjent Evald Hansen Maarups ufooplevelse. Den fandt sted den 13. august 1970 klokken 22.50 ved Fjelstrup nord for Haderslev og rummede både en bilstandsning, en mystisk lyssøjle og en interessant billedserie optaget med patruljevognens kamera.
Maarups oplevelse er genfortalt utallige gange og ofte upræcist og overdramatiseret. En opmuntrende undtagelse er kapitlet “Flyvende tallerkens lyskegle standsede Haderslev-betjent” skrevet af Trine Skovlund Jørgensen, arkivar ved Historie Haderslev, og kan læses i bogen “Langs fjord og dam — Lokalhistorie omkring Haderslev – 2022”.
